World Lizard Day is celebrated annually on August 14 to raise awareness about lizards and promote their conservation. We encourage you to learn more about these often-overlooked reptiles to see the crucial role they play in our ecosystems and learn about the great diversity of lizard species. From the slender Green Tree Python to the majestic Rhinoceros Iguana, lizards come in an incredible variety of shapes, sizes, and colors for you to discover!
Join us Thursday, August 14, for a day full of amazing reptiles to meet beginning at 10:00am in Gator Alley! Special interactive presentations will be led by an Animal Experience Specialist who helps care for these astounding cold-blooded animals. Guests will even have the chance to touch a reptile, take photos, ask questions, and learn all about different species!
