If you arrive without a reservation, you may need to wait hours for the next available entry time or find there is no remaining availability. Note - You can have one active reservation in place at a time and can make that reservation up to 45 days before your planned visit date. Once you've used that reservation or cancelled it, you can make another for your next visit.

Here are suggestions for the “Best Times to Visit” Newport Aquarium to help make the most of each visit. Late summer, fall and early winter are generally the LEAST busy times at Newport Aquarium.
For the best experience consider visiting after 2 pm on weekdays after the majority of our Group/School Group visitors have left for the day; or before 11 a.m. or after 2 pm on weekends and holidays.
Because we are a family-friendly destination the MOST busy days are when school is not in session like:

Newport Aquarium is a popular choice for field trips, especially weekdays in April (except during Spring Break); May & Mid-June; as well as for Summer Camp Groups in July and August. Arriving after 1 PM is recommended on those days.
