Backstage is a dynamic, working environment, so you never know what you will see. Each tour is unique and filled with new discoveries, from divers in fins to animals in transport. All ages are welcome on this tour.
NEW! As part of your Backstage Animal Experience, get an up close look at the Jellie Nursery. This extensive system of habitats is where Newport Aquarium’s Moon Jellyfish are born and raised before they make their way to the new exhibit Ring of Fire: World of the Octopus. See all the different phases of life these fascinating animals go through early in their life cycle.

- Each guest must have their own ticket.
- Children under 16 must have their own ticket and be accompanied by a full paying adult. These experiences are recommended for children ages 4 and older.
- For Backstage Animal Experiences, adults may bring infants up to 25 pounds with them free of charge in a Snuggli-type front baby carrier. If you need one, we provide carriers in the lobby free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
Tours are limited. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive at least ten minutes early. The tours run on a strict schedule to allow the greatest amount of time for your experience. Late arrivals will forfeit their tickets. Tickets are non-refundable, cannot be rescheduled and do not include admission to the Newport Aquarium.
