Coronavirus Update

COVID-19 NOTICE:

Due to the quickly evolving global crisis caused by COVID-19, and for the health and well-being of our employees and guests, Newport Aquarium is temporarily closed. We are hoping to re-open in May, however, we will follow the direction of public health officials to determine the re-opening date.

Please know that during this time, our animal care team is working to provide the same high level of care for the animals as always. As we monitor the recommendations of public health officials, we hope this closure will be brief and look forward to hosting you for a visit in the near future.

If you have already purchased tickets, those will be valid for use on a future date of your choice with no action needed on your part. Should you wish, we will refund your ticket purchase. Please call 866-224-8037, so we can help with that.

For our valued Annual Passholders, thank you for your support of your aquarium. We will be extending your passes by the number of days that we remain closed so you’ll have extra days to visit with your animal friends.

Questions and Answers

When do you expect to re-open?

We are hoping to re-open in May. We continue to watch the conditions within the tristate region and are following the direction of government and health officials. When we know more, we will be able to provide a firm date on reopening to our guests. Check www.NewportAquarium.com for updates and additional information.

I’ve purchased tickets already, what do I do?

Your tickets will be honored for a visit on a future date once the aquarium has reopened. You don’t need to take any action at all. Should you wish to receive a refund, please call us at 800-406-3474 so we can help with that.

Did you have any cases or suspected cases?

No.

What are you doing for the animals?

Our animal care team will be working to provide the same high level of care for the animals as always. Please know that our animals are not affected by the virus.

My group is planning to attend during the time you are closed, what do I do?

Our sales professionals will be in contact with your group leader in the next several days to discuss your group’s options. Should you wish to contact the sales department, please call 859-815-1478.
