Annual Pass FAQs

How often can I visit with my Annual Pass?

You can visit the aquarium as often as you like during normal operating hours. Your pass is valid for 365 days from date of purchase.

Who can use my Annual Pass?

Annual Passes are valid only for the individual named and pictured on the pass and are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

We have a new nanny/babysitter, can we transfer our old nanny/babysitter's pass to the new one?

Unfortunately, no. Annual passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

How do I renew my Annual Pass?

You can renew your pass at a discounted rate before the expiration date by calling 1-800-406-3474, visiting our ticket windows or online.

What are my Annual Passholder benefits?

As an annual passholder to Newport Aquarium you receive numerous benefits and discounts both while at the aquarium and at local restaurants and regional attractions. Complete list of Annual Pass Benefits.

Is there a family pass?

We do not currently offer a family pass.

How many times do I get to bring a guest free throughout the year?

There are specific times throughout the year that annual passholders can bring a guest for free, like our biannual Passholder Appreciation Days (see the 'Events' tab on the Annual Pass page for details). Please make sure our staff has an accurate email for your account by emailing info@newportaquarium.com and let us know you want to receive emails.

Do I get discounts to other attractions?

Yes, you can find a list of zoos, aquariums, Newport on the Levee merchants and other family attractions that offer a discount to Newport Aquarium annual passholders here.

You'll need to to show your Newport Aquarium Annual Pass at check out to receive the discounts. Restrictions may apply and we highly recommend contacting the location before visiting to ensure all discounts are still applicable.

How can I purchase an Annual Pass?

There are 3 ways to purchase an Annual Pass: Online, by phone (1-800-406-3474) and in person.

Annual Passes can be purchased at any ticket window or the information desk located in the Aquarium lobby. 

When does my Annual Pass expire?

Your pass is valid for 365 from date of purchase for example, if you purchase your pass on January 5, 2016, your pass will expire on January 4, 2017. The exception is if you purchase during a promotional time period that would extend your expiration date. The expiration date is printed on your pass and when you renew, you receive a sticker with the new expiration date.

Does my Annual Pass include guest ticket discounts?

Your pass includes $2 off an unlimited number of guest passes throughout the year. Please visit the ticket windows or information desk inside the aquarium lobby and present your annual pass to receive the discount. You must visit with your guest in order to receive the discount.

When do I receive my Annual Pass card?

If you purchase a pass on-park your pass will be processed at time of purchase. If you purchase a pass online or over the phone please print your confirmation email and bring it to the information desk located inside the Aquarium lobby where your picture will be taken and your pass will be processed and printed.

How do I replace a lost or damaged card?

There is a $5 charge to replace your Annual Pass card. Please visit the information desk in the Aquarium lobby to have a new card printed.

What if I know where my card is, I just forgot it today?

Forgot to bring your pass? Not a problem. Please visit the information desk for a pass pardon.

The first time you forget your pass it's on us, however any time after that, there is a $1 fee to enter the aquarium.

I’ve already renewed my membership but I continue to get renewal notices. Should I be concerned that you did not receive my renewal?

If you have recently renewed your pass, please disregard any renewal notices that follow. Although we work to process renewals as quickly as possible, there is a chance that you may receive another notice before your payment and renewal is processed and entered into our system. If you have any additional questions about your renewal or if it has been over a month since you renewed, please call our membership office for more information.

If I want to become an Annual Passholder on the day of my visit, can I use my ticket admission toward the cost of the Annual Pass?

You can upgrade any paid admission ticket to the Newport Aquarium to an Annual Pass for a flat fee of $25 for adult passes, $17 for child passes and $18for senior passes.

Do Annual Passholders receive free parking?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide free parking at this time, however Newport on the Levee does provide free or discounted parking at certain times. You may wish to plan your visits during these times. Please check the levee's website for up-to-date information.

Can we bring our stroller?

Yes. However, you may enjoy your visit more without bringing your stroller.  Due to the nature of the aquarium experience, most kids and parents will enjoy their visit more without a stroller.

Free child carriers are available to be borrowed from Guest Services.
