Exhibits Cast
Year-Round Part-Time, 20-30 hours/week various shifts
Responsibilities:
- Educate the guest about our species on display and the environment represented at the aquarium
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Work closely with volunteers
- Handle guest comments, complaints and suggestions
- Properly clean and maintain exhibit areas
- Maintain an atmosphere of friendliness, courteousness, and professionalism
- Work with other cast members to ensure a high level of cast/guest interaction
- Assist supervisors and management with any additional duties
- Attend department meetings
Qualifications:
Must be friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing and comfortable speaking to large groups of guests
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in a similar guest service capacity
Ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work as a member of a teamAbility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays
Physical and Medical Requirements:
- Able to spend most of the workday walking/standing in aquarium public spaces
- Ability to learn and perform all job functions
