NEW Turtle Canyon Exhibit Opens March 22!
Turtle Canyon will feature 14 species of turtles.
The NEW Turtle Canyon (formerly the Rainforest)
will feature a diverse collection of more than 14 species of turtles, spanning three continents. From the largest tortoise species in the world, the Galapagos tortoise, to the smallest tortoise species in the Northern Hemisphere, the Egyptian tortoise, Turtle Canyon will showcase turtles of all shapes and sizes.

Two massive turtles are set to anchor the exhibits inside Turtle Canyon, allowing Newport Aquarium to highlight three of the largest turtle species in the world: Bravo the Galapagos Tortoise, Thunder the Alligator Snapping Turtle and Denver the Loggerhead Sea Turtle.
Turtles you can actually touch!
Guests will have the unique opportunity to touch a variety turtles in the Turtle Corral area using the 2-finger touch technique. Touching each turtle on the shell, guests will not only see what makes each turtle special – they can feel it!
