To ensure the best possible guest experience, hourly capacities are limited. We strongly recommend purchasing your tickets or making your reservations in advance to ensure you get to visit on your preferred date and entry time. Popular days and times do sell out. If you wait to purchase tickets at walk-up, you may need to wait hours for the next available entry time or find there is no remaining ticket availability.
With Plan-Ahead Pricing, the further in advance you purchase your tickets, the more you save. Get tickets HERE.
Annual Passholders or Members and undated ticket holders can make reservations HERE.
Newport Aquarium relies on hundreds of dedicated volunteers and interns for everything from shark feeding to office work. If you would like to donate your time, and can commit to a minimum amount of time (typically eight hours a month for most of the opportunities, we probably have a job for you.
We have a number of volunteer opportunities for members of the community. Deadlines, commitments and details can be found here. Year-round volunteers must be 18 years of age or older; 14-17 years old can join the Summer Naturalist program. Schedules are flexible; we need volunteers on weekdays, weekends, and evenings for a range of special events.
Internships for college students are available in public relations, sales, marketing, human resources, video production, education, and animal husbandry. There are three internship sessions (Spring, Summer and Fall) per year. Deadlines, requirements and details can be found here.
Volunteers and interns are eligible for discounts at Sharky's Cafe, gift shop, and Sweet Dreams Candy Company, and for Newport Aquarium tickets as well as social activities and enrichment activities.
All volunteer and intern programs are administered by the nonprofit WAVE Foundation. If you would like to learn more, visit www.wavefoundation.org or email volunteer@newportaquarium.com.
